"Julie Gilleland at Just Ask Julie was the angel I needed so badly. I had started a search, mostly using friends who had loved ones in a facility, as my resource. I didn’t feel like I was doing a good job and then I found Julie. I was referred to her by a veteran Senior Personal Care Living Industry leadership person who spend many years in the industry, the first clue that Julie was going to be a great resource. After contacting Julie, all communication was open and candid, as well as prompt and clear. My situation is probably similar to many who have a loved one affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia - but this was me, and my situation is important. Julie was very empathetic, as well as knowledgeable about my situation. She knew what I was dealing with and assured me she would make it easier. The inside knowledge she has about the facilities, their staffing, leadership, and many other aspects of the business was invaluable. One of the things I liked best about Julie was her no pressure approach. I was upfront telling her I was in the “Gather Info” phase as I wanted to be ready in case something happened to my wife, or more importantly, to me, as I was her primary Caregiver. It was in August, 2023 when we linked up; since then there’s not been one hint of pressure for me to decide. She also enlightened me about Adult Day Care, a service I was not aware of. "There are moments in life that are just hard. Fortunately, there are people to help guide you through them. Julie is just that…..an advocate to lead you through some difficult decisions. Julie helped my parents find the perfect living situation following a hospital stay for my mom. We had to make a change quickly. Mom could not go back to independent living but needed to be in memory care, but my dad was still very capable of living on his own. Julie talked with us, assessed the needs for both parents and made a recommendation that suited the needs of both mom and dad. "Julie helped us when we needed to find a new community for my mother in law. Julie saved us lots of time by narrowing down the choices.  Previously, I had to call the assisted living home and then go visit if I thought it was a good fit. 

She found out what we wanted for our loved one and a general area in which to move her. 

She found some communities that met 

our needs as far as price and location.  

We were looking for a place that would stimulate our mom more than where she was.   

She set up the appointments for us to tour the facilities. I visited one that I really liked and she agreed that she thought it would be a great fit. Julie was helpful in the days before we moved our mom when I had questions and she even came on the move in day with a vase of flowers that brightened up Mom's room.
